— Kyle Miller scored a career-high 38 points as Duncan County defeated Dover High School 62-59 on Saturday night.
The Bulldogs (10-5, 4-4) won for the second straight game after scoring 36 points in the first half.
The win was Duncan’s sixth straight overall and the second of a seven-game homestand.
Miller, the junior forward from Duncan, has scored at least 40 points in five straight games and 12 of the past 14.
He’s also averaged 15.0 points in his past 13 games.
Drew Johnson had 21 points and seven rebounds.
Duncan scored 23 and went 8 of 10 from 3-point range.
Devin Thomas scored 17 points and had 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
Thomas led the Bulldogs (11-6, 6-4).
Duncan went on a 17-4 run early in the second half to cut the deficit to 61-58.
Then Drew Johnson hit a 3-pointer that gave Duncan a 72-58 lead with 8:46 to play.
Duncan hit three free throws with 4:27 to play to give the Bulldogs a 63-59 lead with 5:27 left in the third quarter.
