What the latest NFL mock draft has to say about the Raiders, Eagles and Bears, with some of their highest-rated prospects in mind
With the draft over, the latest mock draft to hit the Internet shows that a lot of things have changed since last year.
First, the Raiders are in a deep hole at quarterback, where Derek Carr and rookie Connor Cook are locked in for a long-term deal.
The Eagles, meanwhile, will need to make a tough decision on where to start the rebuild with the acquisition of second-year wide receiver Josh Huff, who can also play tight end.
The Bears are expected to be one of the top picks in the draft and have a chance to win the NFC North, but the Raiders’ quarterback situation could make them a sleeper pick, too.
The Bears could have a quarterback in their top five, with Mitch Trubisky the favorite to go No. 1 overall.
The biggest question mark on the board is the Eagles.
The team finished with the league’s worst record, so it’s hard to imagine them being as good as they were last year, when they were 10-6.
But if they fall short of the playoff bubble, they’ll have to do a lot to make the playoffs this year.
