Former high school teacher accused of molesting students at Columbia high school

Former Columbia high-school teacher Justin R. Clements was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a boy in a dormitory at the school and stealing clothes from the school, authorities said.

Clements, 43, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of third-degree sexual abuse and one count of third degree sexual penetration of a child under 14 years old.

The alleged incident happened in October 2016, when the boy was in Grade 6 and the alleged victim was in his fifth year of high school.

A search warrant affidavit obtained by The Hill states that a female student reported Clements to school officials.

The affidavit says the student said Clements had sexually touched her buttocks and buttocks area.

The affidavit also alleges that the alleged incident was videotaped and sent to several social media sites, including Facebook.

The school did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill.

A school district spokesperson told The Hill that the allegations were not the result of a criminal investigation.

The Washington Post first reported the alleged crime.
